Ridgewood Older Adult Center & Services is a community organization that welcomes seniors age 60 and older. The center provides activities, as well as hot breakfast and lunch daily.
Ridgewood Older Adult Center & Services is a member of Queens Interagency Council on Aging, a nonprofit borough-wide coordinating body uniting seniors and services, working to improve the health and quality of life of older adults and their families.
The mission of Ridgewood Older Adult Center and Services is to enhance the lives of older adults. Recognizing that the process of growing, learning and adapting continues throughout life and the need for meaningful relationships never ceases. Ridgewood Older Adult Center and Services is committed to providing opportunities for self-realization, fulfillment and independence. Ridgewood Older Adult Center and Services respectfully supports the dignity and efforts of older people without regards to race, ethnicity, gender, religious or sexual preference.
As part of the mission of Ridgewood Older Adult Center and Services, there are several programs, activities, and services provided in order to enhance the lives of older adults by allowing them to fight feelings of loneliness or isolation, find a sense of fulfillment and independence, as well as enrolling inprograms and services that promote healthy lifestyles.
